This year, Tulemar has a small family of Chestnut-mandibled Toucans living among us. We’ve counted 6 individuals of various sizes and ages.
In the past, the Manuel Antonio area has mostly been home to the smaller Aracari or Fiery-billed Toucan, and it’s thrilling to see the new residents.
Nothing says “you’re in the jungle” like seeing a large Toucan hopping through the canopy or feasting on the tropical fruit trees.
